MCFC Supporters NYC -- New York's Official Manchester City Supporters Club

Manchester City Football Club Supporters New York City (MCFCNYC) is a branch of Manchester City's Official Supporters Club (OSC). While we are headquartered in New York City, we welcome and encourage membership from all regions of the United States and abroad. We currently have 54 members (41 adult, 13 junior) coming from the New York City Tri-State area (New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut) and as far away as Massachusetts, South Carolina, California, and even Singapore.

Prior to formation of the club in the summer of 2007, fans of Manchester City in New York and beyond had been loosely organized, and the main purpose was simply to alert fans to television coverage of City's matches. The founding of the club as a branch of the Official Supporters Club was effected in order for fans of Manchester City to dig deeper roots in the States: to provide an official presence and structure, to promote awareness of Manchester City FC to the public, and to offer City supporters better opportunities to communicate and to come together around the football club. We also hope we can serve as a sort of welcoming committee for City supporters visiting New York or the USA from abroad. Local members regularly meet at Nevada Smith's in Manhattan's East Village to watch matches. Nevada's welcomes fans of Manchester City and all other football clubs and is THE place to watch football in New York City. If you are ever in New York during a City match, be sure to let us know and meet us at the bar.

TV Schedule and Forum

This website seeks not only to serve as a home for members of MCFCNYC, but also to facilitate the supporting of Manchester City FC for all fans in the USA. Central to this goal are the TV Fixtures Schedule and the club's Forum. The emphasis of the fixtures schedule is to identify which matches are going to be shown on television and to provide a direct link to the forum where details of the TV coverage is provided. In the forum itself members are enouraged to discuss the matches and to seek out other City fans with whom to watch them.

Of course, the forum serves other purposes as well, and we welcome participation from anyone, anywhere, member or not, who wishes to communicate with other City fans on any topic. Unregistered guests are free to read and write posts on all boards except those restricted to members of MCFCNYC. Let us know who you are and where you live, and we'll even set up a discussion board for your region on the forum regardless of whether you live in the United States or overseas. Participation on your region's board will help you meet other City fans in your community and also help yet other Citizens follow the football club when on their travels.

Become A Member Of MCFCNYC

You may or may not wish to become a formal member of our club. If not, please feel welcomed to participate in the Forum and communicate with other City fans who visit us online. But if you are interested in joining, then we would be happy to take you on board. Although we may sound like a club created for New York City supporters of MCFC, we're not. The club simply was born and is based here, and most founding members have some sort of relationship to the city. But New York is unique and is commonly known as the capital of the world, and accordingly we are eager to attract members from across the broad United States and the world beyond.
