Maggie McGarry's is located in the North Beach section of San Francisco and is owned by a City fan. More info to follow.
Mad Dog in the Fog
530 Haight St.
San Francisco, CA 94117
(415) 626-7279
Description from internet: Whether an expat or an anglophile, people with an English hankering need look no further than Mad Dog in the Fog, where patrons can get pints of Bass, Boddington's, and Fuller's London Pride, as well as many other foreign and domestic brews. There are beer specials every single day, and Tuesdays and Wednesdays boast $2.50 pints all day long. There's a decent wine list, too. And, Mad Dog serves a traditional English and other breakfast foods all day until 9:30PM. There's also good English pub grub like bangers and mash.
But Mad Dog's appeal goes beyond the liquid or culinary (if English Breakfasts can even count as such). The soccer scarves lining the room stand witness to the victorious thrills and defeated agonies experienced within these walls. On weekends during the day, this big, airy pub devotes its big screen to English soccer and secondarily to American sports.
"I've now been to a couple matches at Anna Liffey's, and it's a reasonable place to take in a match. They have a full menu of breakfast (including Irish breakfast) and lunch available at all hours, and although the seating is limited there are plenty of TV's. The beverages are reasonably priced, and the bartender (although a Liverpool fan) is a pleasant enough chap who will get you your drink in a quick and friendly manner.
"My only complaint is that I have been the only City fan at all of the matches I have attended. If you want to give Anna Liffey's a visit, please go to the Connecticut discussion board and make yourself known, and I'll meet you down there; we'll start building up a base. You may also want to get on Anna Liffey's email list for notification of the week's upcoming televised matches:

Ireland's Four Courts opens at 10am on Saturdays and Sundays, although they will open earlier if there is demand. They provide matches on Fox Soccer Channel, Gol Tv, and the Setanta Pub Channel, and every match is recorded on DVR to be shown at a later time upon request. They are located at the Courthouse metro stop on the orange line and put on a good breakfast every weekend.
"They get both Setanta and FOX Soccer Channel, every City game is played. The bar owner, Danny, is a City fan and a few of us get together and catch City games frequently. They offer Brunch in the mornings and they even open the bar early for City fixtures. Good menu, fish and chips are excellent, good drinks selection and resonable prices. By far the best venue in the DC area to catch City games. If you are taking metro to get there take orange line to the Courthouse metro station, Kitty's is on Wilson Blvd a few blocks away. If you are driving, there is a small lot behind Kitty's for parking."
"Larger venue than Kitty's is. It is located a few blocks away. It was voted one of the best soccer pubs in 2002 by US Soccer. It usually is littered with United, Chelsea, and Liverpool fans. If a City game is going on the same time as a big four team is playing you'll be lucky to get a small TV near the bathrooms that is playing the City game. I would only recommend Summer's as a secondary option to Kitty's, or if you are a fan of the big four Summers is your place. Park on the street for Summers."
"I do most of my watching at Small Bar on Division. They have both Setanta and FSC. Mostly Arsenal and Chelsea supporters there, but I have met the odd City fan passing through. For game days they normally open for the 1200 UK game (0700/0800 Central). I believe the Elephant & Castle also shows football, but I do not know the atmosphere/supporters there."
The Abbey is open from 11am-2am every day of the week. The bar has both Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta Sports, and while it tends to be a Celtic stronghold it will air Engish Premier League matches every Saturday and Sunday upon request. Just ask the bartender to tune in your match.
"It's a nice little venue (a few too many Utd fans for my taste) but a fantastic $8 British breakfast (we are talking fried bread, Heinz beans, mushrooms, fried tomato and maybe I just wished it but I seem to remember black pudding). Boddingtons on tap at 6am ... all in all, good times."
The official home of MCFCNYC (our club). We will be in the Hatter for each match, although on derby day a number of the more vocal sort like to head down to Nevada Smith's to get in the faces of the Utd support. When in town for a match, be sure to drop in to the Hatter to meet with us.
Nine plasma screens, a nice atmosphere, pool table in the back and even its own courtyard. The bar also serves a nice Irish breakfast, and they will open the kitchen for us early for those early morning matches.
Patron comment, "Nevada Smith's is THE bar for watching football in New York City. It is the largest bar, with the most fans, and the best atmosphere."
"Slainte is a very nice bar with many TVs, plus they serve food. I will go to Slainte when Nevada's cannot provide sound for a match and Slainte will. Some fans also prefer the bar for early morning matches because they serve a nice breakfast. Match atmosphere, however, is low key, so this is not bar if you want to sing."
"Found a great place to watch matches at the GEORGE AND DRAGON PUB near GasWorks Park in Seattle. Good pub food served, drinks are stiff and moderately priced. They kept the bill small for me on my first day out, so I will keep going back. Got a small razzing from Chelsea fans, but I was sober enough to just ignore it. Owner was friendly but stated that support for City was close to nil."
"Personally I prefer Fado, as I've never forgiven the Dark Horse for their rugby world cup final debacle 4 yrs ago. Charging you $30 to get in and then telling everyone to be quiet as the rozzers were outside, and then kicking everyone out as soon as the final whistle went."
